The Challenge
This wasn’t a simple brochure site — it had to operate as a functional, secure, and intuitive members-only system. From premium user access to private content, a smooth admin panel, and a polished UI, every layer of the platform needed to feel rock-solid and brand-aligned. And it all had to scale smoothly under AWS infrastructure.
Our Approach
Frontend Development with Next.js
We built the entire frontend using Next.js to take advantage of server-side rendering and fast static generation. With Tailwind CSS, we designed a clean, responsive interface optimized for both performance and elegance. Interactive elements like tabbed sections, notifications, and dashboards were crafted for clarity and ease of use.
Backend with Laravel
The backend was powered by Laravel, providing robust and secure handling of member data, content logic, and access control. We architected the backend to scale with growth and allow smooth integration with other internal systems.
Admin Panel via FilamentPHP
To make internal operations simple, we implemented a custom admin dashboard using FilamentPHP. It gave Umapoi staff the ability to manage users, content updates, and race-related announcements — all through an intuitive, modern UI with minimal training required.
Deployment on AWS
The entire system was deployed on AWS, leveraging services like EC2 for scalable app hosting, S3 for asset storage, and RDS for database management. We configured deployment pipelines and environment settings to ensure speed, stability, and security in production.

Behind the Scenes
A key challenge was creating a seamless experience across two very different user roles — members and admins — while keeping the codebase modular and maintainable. We also put extra effort into optimizing load speeds and minimizing Time to First Byte (TTFB) with server-side rendering and AWS tuning. The result is a fast, future-proof site that looks and feels premium on any device.
Next Steps
We’re looking at adding real-time updates (via WebSockets or AWS AppSync), multilingual support, and further analytics integration to give the Umapoi team better insight into member engagement.
