The Challenge
There are many platforms for travelers — but almost none that speak directly to Myanmar people, in their language, with content and services that actually matter. The biggest challenge was balancing content depth, speed, and ease-of-use — all while building an interface that works well on low-end devices and limited mobile networks.
Our Approach
Designing with Empathy
We designed the platform from a user-first mindset — clean interfaces, big tap targets, and Burmese language support from day one. The UI follows a card-based layout to keep things scrollable and scannable. Icons and color cues help guide users who may not be fluent readers.

Frontend with Next.js
We built the frontend using Next.js for fast performance and SEO optimization. Dynamic filtering (e.g., by location, category, rating) was implemented for smoother discovery. The layout is fully responsive and optimized for both modern smartphones and older Android devices.
Powerful Search + API Integration
We integrated a headless content structure that allows for scalable listings — including hotels, restaurants, visa agencies, jobs, and more. Search was made fast and user-friendly, with clear filters and smooth transitions.
Deployment & Scaling
The app is deployed on Vercel, giving us fast global delivery, zero-config builds, and easy rollback options as we continue to expand the product. We’ve set up a CI/CD flow to keep development agile.
The Result
A beautiful, lightweight, mobile-first web app
Tailored content for Myanmar users in Bangkok
Fast search, clean filtering, and easy browsing
Positive early feedback from users in Facebook groups & community forums
Built and maintained 100% by the NexusCode team
Behind the Scenes
One of the toughest parts was translating real-world needs into usable features. We talked to dozens of people who had moved to Bangkok from Myanmar — asking what information they wish they had. That shaped everything from our homepage layout to which categories we featured first. It’s a project close to our hearts, and we continue to build on it with pride.
